Give the sound a visible reason

A shot can look convincing while its sound tells a different story. Plan one visible event and one sound cue so you can check whether they belong together.

Google describes Veo 3.1 as a video model with native audio. That makes a small scene with an audible action a useful starting brief; it does not guarantee that speech or effects will match every frame. See Google's video documentation.

Choose the input that matches your brief

Use Veo 3.1 text-to-video in Studio when you want to describe a new scene. If a particular object or composition must guide the result, start with Veo 3.1 image-to-video and upload a clear image you may use.

  • Check that the selected model is Veo 3.1 and the input mode matches the link before submitting.
  • Use the duration, aspect ratio, resolution and upload limits shown for that selection. Google API options are not a list of settings guaranteed in Muvi.
  • For an image, leave the subject fully visible in the intended crop. Avoid asking a close crop to reveal precise details that the source does not show.

Write one shot before adding dialogue

Start with subject, action, framing and sound. The following is an example prompt to adapt, not a recorded generation or benchmark:

A ceramic cup sits on a wooden table beside an open window. A hand sets a teaspoon beside the cup, then leaves the frame. Locked medium close-up, soft daylight, one continuous shot. Audio: a brief metal tap when the spoon touches the table, with quiet birds outside. No dialogue or music.

For image input, replace the first sentence with “Use the uploaded cup and table as the starting composition.” Keep the other instructions focused on what changes. The intended result is a stationary cup, one spoon placement and a corresponding tap; inspect the actual clip to see which parts the model followed.

Review the picture and sound separately

  • Pause at the start, around the spoon placement and at the end. Check the cup rim, handle, hand and table edge for shape changes.
  • Listen without watching. Check whether the tap is audible and whether unwanted speech or music appears.
  • Watch with sound. Compare the tap with the moment of contact; a plausible sound at the wrong moment still needs correction.
  • If the shot drifts, simplify one instruction, such as removing the hand and using a still cup with outdoor ambience. Save the prompt and selected settings so you can compare the revision.

Do not resubmit a job merely because it is still pending. Check its status first. A prompt is a request, so exact object preservation, readable labels and precise timing still need review.

Questions before you generate

Does this guide require an image?+

No. The first example uses text input. Use image input when you have a starting composition to preserve, and select its matching mode in Studio.

Can I assume every Veo API feature is available here?+

No. Use Muvi's current model selection and visible input controls. This guide covers the linked text and image modes; it does not promise video extension, every reference mode or a particular export setting.

Put the brief into practice

Open the Veo 3.1 text scene, check the selected settings and adapt the cup example. For a product photo, use the product prompt guide to define which details must stay fixed.

Sources checked 8 September 2026: Google video documentation for native audio; the linked Muvi Studio selections for the task's text/image input paths. Availability and settings should be checked again before a generation.

Existing gallery clips: check the attribution

These clips and their original English prompt labels were already included in this page’s gallery. They are retained for viewing, but the available source record does not verify the exact model version, generation settings or whether the listed prompt produced each clip. They are separate from the cup exercise above; do not read them as tested results of that prompt.
