Define the product before the movement

An attractive clip is unusable if it changes what you sell. Write down the visible product facts before asking for movement: shape, colour, material, label and the parts that must remain in frame.

For a blue mug, that might mean a rounded rim, a handle on the right and blue glaze without a printed logo. These are review criteria, not a promise that a model will preserve them. Use a sharp product photo you may use and compare every candidate against it.

Match the prompt to its input

For this exercise, use Seedance 2.0 image-to-video or Veo 3.1 image-to-video. Check the displayed model, mode and upload limits, then choose an available duration and aspect ratio. Keep the reference and settings the same when comparing prompt revisions within one model.

Google's Veo documentation describes image-based direction; it does not establish that another model or every Muvi mode follows the same input contract. Treat the photo as the starting composition and describe the movement you want from it.

Try three distinct shot briefs

The prompts below are unexecuted examples for adaptation. They describe intended results, not tested outputs.

Prompt 1: move the camera closer

Use the uploaded blue mug as the starting frame. Make a slow, small push-in toward the mug without changing camera height. Keep the handle visible on the right, the mug stationary and the background plain. One continuous shot, soft window light, no added text.

Check whether the shot moves closer while the rim and handle keep their shape. If it begins to orbit, replace the movement sentence with “Locked camera, fixed view.”

Prompt 2: change the light, not the angle

Use the uploaded blue mug in its original position. Locked camera and unchanged framing. A soft highlight moves gently across the glaze as the window light shifts. Keep the mug's colour and silhouette consistent. No additional objects, lettering or cuts.

Inspect whether the highlight changes without turning the mug white or making the surface look metallic. Reject a material change even if it looks polished.

Prompt 3: keep the product still while the background moves

Use the uploaded mug as the starting composition. The mug and camera remain still. A curtain in the distant background moves slightly in a breeze. Keep the handle, rim and blue glaze consistent. No person touches the mug. One continuous shot.

Use this brief only when a curtain already belongs in the source scene or when adding it is acceptable. Check that background motion does not pull the product edges out of shape.

Change one instruction after reviewing

• Compare the first, middle and last frames with the source image.
• Inspect label spelling, shape and colour at a readable size. A wide preview can hide errors.
• Record the model, prompt and settings with your chosen version.
• Revise the failed instruction alone. Shorten the movement if geometry drifts; remove background activity if the product changes with it.

If a factual label must be exact, use approved artwork in your editing tool. A prompt cannot certify packaging, dimensions or product performance.
